Everything you need to know about Vortex 2022!

  • Vortex is taking place at a brand new venue, ‘The Junk Yard’ in the heart of Denver, located at 2323 W. Mulberry Place, Denver, CO 80204.
  • Doors open at 4pm on Friday, August 5th and 1pm on Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th. Plan to arrive early to enjoy the full day of music.
  • Vortex is an all-ages, rain or shine event. Children under 5 years old are free to enter without a ticket, and children that are 5 and older will need a ticket for entry.
  • Due to our newly created venue location, we will not have parking on-site for anyone at the event. We alternatively suggest ride sharing or utilizing public transit to get to the festival grounds. If you choose to drive to the event, there is very limited street parking around the event, but this is not recommended.
  • Ticket options include single-day tickets, three-day passes and VIP passes. VIP tickets include a reserved VIP premium viewing area, private bar, and restrooms.
  • There is no re-entry to the festival.
  • Ticket issues on event day will be handled by discretion at the Main Box Office Manager. Please have a copy of your purchase confirmation email with you to address any issues.
  • There are no ATM’s located in the venue.
  • All bars and food trucks take credit. Bars are cashless. Vendors and food trucks are cash optional.
  • There is an ADA viewing section near Front of House (sound board) with wheelchair and companion access. Accompanying family members are allowed in the ADA viewing section. There are accessible restrooms located at each bank of restrooms.
  • Food concessions, beverages, and water stations will be available.
  • You may bring into the festival:
  • One (1) bag per guest. All bags are subject to search.
  • Clutch bags 4.5x6.5 or smaller that have a single over the shoulder, or cross-body strap that are made of a canvas, nylon, or leather material are permitted. Chain straps are not allowed.
  • All other bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC, not exceeding 12x6x12. No buckles, grommets/hardware or décor can be concealing any part of the bag. Under no circumstances will an employee accept a bag for safe keeping, take possession of any such bag, or otherwise control such bag.
  • One factory sealed water bottle is allowed per person up to 32oz
  • Non-flammable containers of sunscreen or bug spray
  • Empty, single pocket hydration packs.
  • If you’re bringing prescription medication, please be sure that the name on the label matches the name on your ID.
  • Service animals that are trained to assist an individual, in accordance with the ADA guidelines (pets and emotional support animals are not allowed)
  • You may not bring into the festival:
  • Outside alcohol or food
  • Aluminum, glass, metal, or steel bottles/containers
  • Backpacks or large purses
  • Chains, chain wallets, or spike jewelry
  • Bicycles, skateboards, skates, hoverboards, Segway’s, or electric scooters
  • Chairs or stools
  • Glow sticks
  • Poi or any other item that is swung or thrown. The exception is hula hoops
  • Coolers
  • Drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Strollers
  • Pets or emotional support animals
  • Weapons of any kind (guns, ammo, knives of any size, tasers, pepper spray/mace, etc.) This also applies to off-duty law enforcement and concealed carry permits.
  • Umbrellas of any size
  • Walkie talkies, or two-way radios
  • Laptop computers or tablets
  • Large full head masks, including headdresses
  • Lasers or pointers
  • Metal aerosol containers, including sunscreen, pepper spray, bug spray, or spray paint (non-flammable are permitted)
  • Flashlights
  • Flammables (fireworks, explosives, road flares)
  • Flyers, samples, giveaways, or promotional items
  • Prohibited behavior:
  • Abusive, foul or disruptive language and obscene gestures
  • Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures
  • Interference with the event
  • Sitting in a location other than your ticketed seat
  • Trespassing into restricted area
  • Any activities prohibited by law
  • Cultural appropriation
*Vortex management and the Denver Police Department personnel reserves the right to remove any Patrons that disobey any festival policies or present a safety risk.
